FRiends Of Gambian Schools
After 20 years improving schools and the lives of children living in The Gambia, the charity, Friends of Gambian Schools was closed down at the end of December 2013.
In that time nearly £125,000 was raised by our supporters.
With this money:
- 32 sea containers full of school equipment were sent to The Gambia.
- 141 small projects, project managed by our Founder, Sally Reader, were carried out.
We are very proud that Sally was recognised in the 2014 New Year’s Honours List, receiving a British Empire Medal, for services to education in The Gambia. This seems a fitting end to all the hard work that she, and the supporters of FROGS have put in over the past 20 years.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE SUPPORTED US OVER THE YEARS!
